EMF Programs

EMF's programs represent different ways to gain an understanding of the creative potential of technology. The programs include public presentations that bring artists and public together, dissemination of information, access to materials, and support for professionals.

Public Presentations

EMF Productions. EMF presents concerts, installations, symposia, encounters with artists, conferences, and other events aimed at providing direct communication between artists and the public. The events explore new cultural roles for music, the confluence of tradition and technology, and performance possibilities in new musical instruments. Recent venues have included the World Financial Center, 3LD Electronic Arts Center, Chelsea Art Museum, Frederick Loewe Theater, and Judson Church in New York City; and Le Palais de Tokyo in Paris ... more

Ear to the Earth. Following a major festival of environmental sound in October 2006 in New York City, Ear to the Earth has become a worldwide network based on the premise that by listening to the sounds of the earth, we listen to the state of the earth.
